Silly hat, Grandad's birthday, & Sleepover Fun!

I just downloaded pictures off of my camera, and I had a lot on there. The first few are of Aiden after school one day. I had put his coat, hat, and gloves in his backpack a few days before when it was cold, and I guess his teacher thought I wanted him to wear them all everyday because when I picked him up he had on all the gear. When we got home, he shed almost everything, but wanted to keep the hat while he rode his tricycle!

The next batch is from my dad's birthday last Sunday. Aiden went to my grandmother's house in Hico, TX with Granddad & Grandmommy for the weekend. He had a really great time playing outside with Uncle John David and Aunt Steph, seeing cows, and going to the farm. On their way back home, they all stopped in College Station, joined by Jesse, and we went to lunch, had cake and presents, and chuckled through Will Ferrell's You're Welcome America: A Final Night with George W. Bush. It was a nice way to end Spring Break and celebrate Dad's 54th birthday!

Finally, last night Mike and Elizabeth went out to celebrate their anniversary and we kept Zachary for the night. We took the boys to The Bounce, a big indoor facility with various moonwalks set up for kids to play on. The boys had a great time...what a couple of daredevils! After they were bounced out, we went to CiCi's for pizza and then home for baths, a Dumbo viewing, playing, and drawing. Our plan to tire them out for bedtime was successful!! We were able to do some crafts and play this morning before Zachary was picked up.

Aiden & Zachary Bouncing, Sliding, & Falling!

Aiden & Zack playing with ALL the toys in Aiden's closet! Don't worry, Aiden says Purrcy will clean it up!

Today we left Aiden with Mike and Elizabeth for a couple of hours to go to Ross and Tonya's wedding shower. It was a nice shower, and we enjoyed visiting with the happy couple. All in all it was a fun but busy weekend. I'm actually feeling a bit sick today, and I think it may have been too much after a long week at work. Looks like next weekend will need to be slower for me!

2nd Dr. Appointment

I went to the doctor yesterday for the second time. Everything looked good, and Dr. Gayle was glad that I am not as sick as I was a couple of weeks ago! He did another ultrasound...it's amazing to see how much had changed in just 2 weeks! If I can get Ryan to help me with the scanner tonight, I'll post the ultrasound picture!

My next appointment isn't until April 20 and will probably be boring and uneventful, BUT that should put the big gender-telling appointment around May 18!! Even with all of the weird sickness at the beginning, my gut is telling me it's a boy. Maybe because I have a couple of really confident boy-name options, but am not really loving any girl's names right now. I guess we'll find out in a couple of months!

Back to Blogging!

Since it's been a while since I've posted anything, here's the scoop! Aiden is now 2 1/2, and he has really changed from a baby to a little boy. He is at a pre-school center now instead of in-home care, and he has thrived. He is even singing his abc's, and many times I catch him saying things and think, "That's so clever...where did he learn that?" Of course, exposure to lots of kids has its drawbacks as well (i.e. pretending to shoot guns, spitting, etc.), but overall he is doing well. Zachary, my nephew, also attends school with Aiden in the class next door, so they are able to spend lots of time together.

Ryan is loving his new job, and it has been great having him home in the evenings and on weekends. My job is pretty much the same as always, although I do get antsy this time of year! Only about 2 months of school left...wooohooo!! I am 10 weeks pregnant right now, and this pregnancy has been a lot tougher than Aiden so far. I have been to the ER twice, lost about 13 pounds in 2 weeks, and had to take about a week off of work and stay in bed. I am feeling a lot better now, but have to be pretty cautious about what I eat...I quickly find out when things DON'T settle well! Hopefully, the morning sickness will subside in the next couple of weeks!
