Easter

We celebrated Easter in Houston with my parents and brothers. We had a pretty relaxing day lounging and visiting by the pool Saturday (AND making a Bunny Cake for Easter!), then the guys took a trip to show Aiden the "Easter Bunny" and dogs at the Gulf Greyhound Race Track....hmmm....not so Eastery! Mom and I caught a movie-"Sunshine Cleaning"-I recommend!! Aiden was slow waking up Sunday due to his Guy's Night Out, but he perked up for an indoor Easter egg hunt (it was a rainy morning, so the hunt was moved indoors!). We got home in time for me to finish our taxes....very last minute, but they're DONE! We have a pretty busy week getting ready for Nana & Papa Joe's visit on Thursday...can't wait!

Circus Time!!

We went to the Ringling Bros. Circus last night at Reed Arena with Mike, Elizabeth, & Zachary. We got there early, so the boys were able to see a few of the performers up close. It was so funny to watch them wander out into the ring...Aiden looked over every few seconds to make sure I was still there, but we could have all left and I don' think Zachary (who danced most of the time) would have noticed!

The elephants and tiger were definitely the favorites of the night. After the tigers left the ring, Aiden pretty much lost interest, and Ryan left about 15 minutes early to take him home. Here is the conversation:

"Where the tigers go?"

"They went to bed."

"They come back?"

"I don't think so buddy."

"Uggghhh!!! Where the lion?"

"There isn't a lion at the circus."

"Uggghhh!! It at the zoo?"

"Yes, the lions are at the zoo."

"Where the giraffe go?"

"There's no giraffes at the circus either."

"UGGGHHH!!! I WANT TIGERS!"

Ryan: "Aiden, STOP KICKING THE LADY IN FRONT OF YOU!"

The exit happened shortly after this exchange!!! We did have a great time, but I have a feeling that the next trip to the zoo will be more appreciated!

Rebecca & Cory's Wedding
